Paying for College: Understanding Financial Aid – Workshop on Jan 21, 2016

STEP AHEAD IDAHO HAS CANCELLED THIS ONE

In 2011, the Real Soccer Club partnered with Step Ahead Idaho, a non-profit organization that helps students prepare for college.

Here is information from Step Ahead Idaho about an upcoming workshop about “Paying for College” (Thursday, January 21st, 2016). For additional college prep workshops, see https://realsoccerclub.org/programs/college-prep/

Hi Parents and Students:

Now that most of the applications are done, it’s time to figure out how you are going to pay for your college education.  But the maze of forms, and the different kinds of aid can be confusing.  How do I fill out the FAFSA?  What’s the CSS Profile?  How do I tell the difference between a grant, a scholarship, or student loans?  How much can I borrow?  How much SHOULD I borrow?
Step Ahead Idaho is presenting a talk on Thursday, January 21st at the Boise Main Library to discuss all of these topics and more.  We are also planning to have a financial aid representative from a local college to provide some expert guidance and perspective. Details are below.  We look forward to seeing you there!

When:  Thursday, January 21st
Time:    7:00-8:30 pm
Where: Boise Public Library!
715 S. Capitol Blvd, Boise ID
             Hayes Auditorium
RSVP:   info@stepaheadidaho.org
