It is with great pride, honor, and excitement that we announce the affiliation of Real Soccer Club (Real SC) as an official academy of Villarreal CF, one of Spain’s most respected professional football clubs and renowned youth academies.

This affiliation is a genuine, long-term partnership rather than a simple branding initiative. It is a true club-to-club relationship, built on a direct partnership with one of Europe’s most respected professional clubs and youth academies. We will enjoy a comprehensive player and coach development pathway that provides direct access to Villarreal CF’s methodology, technical expertise, coach education, and international programs.

Among the many benefits, players who aspire to reach the next level will have the opportunity to travel to Spain and immerse themselves for one week in the daily experience of the Villarreal Academy, completing individual training sessions with Villarreal CF coaches and joining one of the academy teams for the afternoon trainings. During this experience, players will train and be evaluated within one of Europe’s premier player development environments while experiencing the professional culture that has produced talent for one of Spain’s top football clubs.

In short, this affiliation represents a historic milestone for our club and opens the door to an unprecedented player and coach development pathway for our community.

And this is only the beginning. Throughout the coming months we will be sharing the many exciting components of this collaboration, explaining in detail how this affiliation will benefit our players, coaches, and families.

We would also like to recognize Luis Monjaras and the outstanding work he has done establishing Villarreal Idaho Academy in the Sun Valley and Hailey area starting in the 2025-26 soccer year. Villarreal Idaho Academy became the first official academy of a European professional football club in Idaho. We are honored that Real SC now becomes the second. While Real SC and Villarreal Idaho Academy each maintain their own direct affiliation with Villarreal CF in Spain, we share the same commitment to player and coach development and look forward to a strong collaboration. We anticipate working together on technical initiatives, and opportunities to strengthen teams for selected tournaments and special events, helping grow the Villarreal CF philosophy throughout Idaho.
