Real CF Heat Sevilla U16 Girls Win Canyon Rim Classic…AGAIN!

Heat Sevilla Canyon Rim Classic ChampionsFull Results here!

The 2016 Canyon Rim Classic U16G Championship belongs to our very own Real CF Heat!  The team won their preliminary bracket in Real fashion to qualify for the semi-finals where they took care of business with a 4-1 victory over U16 Soccer Xpress Atomic and a return trip to the finals for the third consecutive year where they faced a solid BYSL U16 Fusion team from Idaho Falls.

In the finals it was a hard fought battle between two determined teams.  Fusion scored first then moments later it was a combination play between Casimira Thomas and Madison Price that put in the equalizer to make it 1-1.  Fusion scored again at the beginning of the 2nd half, when once again the Thomas/Price duo scored to make it a 2-2 game and it stayed that way until the end of regulation and two overtime periods.

The championship came down to PKs, when Asia Jackson started the show with a PK to the
left corner which stopped at the back of net, to make it 1-0 PKs.  Then Heat players Alyssa Goff, Emmy Williams and finally Rylee Simpson sealed the deal with the eventual winning PK shot, when our amazing keeper Hailee Mize stopping a Fusion shot to make it a 4-3 final and the championship.

This was the 3rd consecutive CRC championship for Real CF Heat winning the crown in 2014 and 2015. Team Heat has completely dominated this tournament the past three years with a amazing undefeated record of 12 wins and only 1 draw.

The players dedicated their championship to three injured Heat players; Milli Landa (Co-Capt) Tori Hommel and Sydney Chandler who sustained a ACL injury earlier this season.  Players wrote the players numbers on their arms.

Congratulations again to Real CF Heat you are truly an amazing team!

Uno, Dos, Tres….REAL!!!
