Real Middleton CF Madrid U15 girls recent successful performance during the Yellowstone Cup played in Rexburg, Idaho, earned them a 2nd place finish.
“I have one happy bunch of kids and parents,” Coach Martin Rodriguez said right after the event.
With an overall record of 3-0-1, including an exciting come from behind 3-2 victory over Teton FC in the final game at the Yellowstone Cup, they ended up second in a round robin group of 5 teams.
Juanjo Carmona, club’s director of coaching, said, “Nobody in the club is surprised of the things these girls can achieve. They needed a win on the last game at Rexburg to clinch the second place and when it appeared impossible to come back from an adverse score, they did it.”
Head coach Rodriguez, one of the most veterans coaches at Real and also a Middleton High School Soccer Coach, highlighted, “The girls hard work, dedication, spirit, and their “Never say Die Attitude”, help them to be very competitive in all four matches.”
Carmona was also impressed with the previous performance of the team in Director’s Cup, last May. “They showed up with a very young team, mainly U15s, and one only sub on Sunday. They still played a very closed match against the champions and walked out with a great tie against number two in the U16 bracket”.
“The future for this group of girls is only going to become brighter and more exciting,” Coach Rodriguez concluded.
